AceJet Spring Steel vs D2

Which should you buy? The spring steel or D2? Is the D2 worth it? I buy all my AceJet knives in D2 if I can. It is a much better metal.

How To Throw a Sharp Knife
Переглядів 7 тис.Рік тому
Real throwing knives do not have sharp edges, they have false edges. This allows you to throw many different styles. But what if you want to throw a live edge/ sharp blade knife? Here I show you how. I heard that the D2 can break. Is this true?
You should check out the 5max
Wow, I had no idea they now have a 5max. The 4max is usually too heavy for a pocket. I slide it into a backpack most the time. I wonder what the 5max feels like.
I haven't thrown these, but i have a similar set at a comparable price. They are 10" spikes made by THKFWD. the shape is versatile. It's even good for bo-shuriken style.
Do those knives ship to Sweden.
Thank you for the answer, disappointing 🤣 Just wanted to know since I've taken a liking to knives as fun entertaining pass time & was wondering what else can I do with them besides fidgeting, admiring them, so lets see for carving & graphic cutting 🤣
These are good old fashioned redneck fun. I told my brother in law to build a target I was bringing them. It was set up and the adults and teens threw them until the sun went down. They still come out when the family gets together. We are rednecks, we get together to set up a shooting range, these throwing axes and a clay thrower at least a couple times a year. You should have a 300 grit sharpener available when using these as they will get dinged up. They are not tool grade steel, if I had to guess I'd say either 420 or 440 stainless. I'd rate them a solid "buy" just for the entertainment.
I ordered 3 off brand Fox hatches I stick 90% of the time for 30 feet . I added Paracord for handles instead of beer opener. I got 3 hatchets and 3 knives for $29.00 on eBay and they are sharp.
Great vid. Too bad you don t make videos anymore. Hope you are well
i've had both, the fling feels alot more fun and i stick more often, it's like throwing a lil axe
These knives are $45 now. I found them on sale on Amazon for $15 for 3. I bought 8 sets. Very fun for me and my 4 boys.
That's great. I cant believe they are $45. They do go on sale every so often. I know exactly what you are talking about because I saw them hit $15 and I ordered 4 sets for my knife throwing club. They are not the best knife by far, but they are fun.
@halfspin $45 is a lot for those 3 knives.
i really would like to see them in a 12 to 14 inch option.
What brand and model of throwing knife is best for hunting?
What do you mean? Are you talking about using a throwing knife to hunt an animal?
I got the 8 inch version I like them for no spin and military hop spin
The secret to throw No Spin with these is using Hammer Grip No Spin like Daniel fro 411 Outdoor channel
Throwing an OKC strike fighter is more than durable enough, and heavy and big enough. But I suck so only 50/50 thrown a few dozen times. Absolutely no sign of wear or loosening or anything due to the awesome aluminum handle. So I disagree with the video for that reason but agree for every other reason lol
There are a selected few pocket knives that can hold up. The tip is so thin that I assume it's a matter of time before it chips. I have a video of my throwing a coldsteel 4max and it has held up really well.
Twenty-five dollars for one knife or three?
The cost is for all 3. They come in a 3 pack with a sheath.
@@halfspinthanks for the review was looking at these for my first set, have been mastering half spin and no spin with kitchen knives and scissors and after losing 3 tips i think it's time to get some proper throwers! 👍🏻🗡
@jimmymcgill2557 glad you liked the video. If you really want to get started with throwing knives I recommend getting something designed after the original Tom Tom Arrows. I have a couple videos coming out where I highly recommend the Hitdudu, The Beak throwing spikes. They are amazing for the price and feel like professional throwing knives. I used to also recommend any of the throwing spikes by JXE JXO which are also great. ua-cam.com/video/hxfa0OfD8Sg/v-deo.htmlsi=dmhGkBDu6BNoq0xY
Awesome blades that are worth every penny paid for them 😎👍
Have you seen the 80s Parker cut co surgical Japan spear points?
Bear attack
These axes are a POS, garbage. I had so much more hope for SW products. Save your money, buy a good one for $50-80 and get used to walking back and forth a lot. I’d have reviewed it myself by I returned them.
Let's say now days alot of parents don't pick there kids up or they just let them go in the streets randomly so let's say there a kidnapper or somone who us gonna try something and your not gonna let your kid carry a pistol are ya no so are you going to let a kid carry a throwing knife no a pocket knife is a better knife to let your kid carry and that's also NY dad along time ago was able to throw his no break man
Hey! Wait just one minute! James Coburn throws a switchblade in the movie " The Magnificent Seven " and it hit its mark everytime! What about him, uh, uh?
Personally I like the 8in throwing knives, now I feel like a child 😂
Actually most bo shuriken weight around 70-100g, and lighter knife are harder to throw and control, i would not give them to a child for training, and wear safety glasses because bounceback can be very dangerous the lighter the knife is.
@@yahekmbarek3208 huh interesting, I’ve gotten really good at throwing smaller knives but the few times I’ve thrown bigger ones I haven’t been as successful, I guess it just takes practice and getting use to
Thank you for your reviews! I just subscribed to your channel!
Where can you purchase the Kizlyer Vytish knife? Tha
Thanks
Kizlyar supreme knives became much harder to get when the Russia/Ukraine conflict ramped up. You can sometimes find them on Amazon though. Go to Amazon and search Kizlyar Supreme throwing knives and see what they have.
@herbertjordan8390 if you haven't already, watch my full review of Kizlyar throwing knives and I review each model.

I gonna buy the knife I don't need!
This was myr first Acejet thrower. Got it a few days ago.
Mine tends to lock itself open but apart from that it's been lasting perfectly fine.
AUS-10A will last longer it takes impacts far better remember most pay more for longer edge retention and such which isn't the "super" or "premium" you're looking for with a thrower / chopper.
GOLD
Liner locks on Victorinox soldier knives work and is trained in some places to hold the circle flip them open using handle weight then throw them like spears effectively - cheap as well. Ironically perhaps slip joints hold up REALLY WELL way and some you can throw near indefinitely.
As a child in the 1960's I played a lot of Mumbley Peg and to this day am quite adept repeatedly sticking a folder into the floor, but was never successful at sticking one into a tree or a wall and yes, I have broken quite a few knives over the years. Folders are not balanced for throwing and the distance to the floor only requires 180 degrees of rotation which is easy to master with the correct wrist snap. Over distance, the knife will tumble and the impact point is random. Usually not the point.
It's basically a desperation move if someone has a gun and you don't.
Didn't like the forward weight bias / balance on the 4 max scout, or the skinny handle. Can't afford 4 max elite. Almost perfect AD - 10 it is then !! (Oh, and an AD - 15 LITE too, just becos, becos Cold Steel!)
They come in a pack of three for the stainless if you buy him from Flee farm. Everyone of purchase has been from there and they've all been The stain was three pack.
👍 NO SPIN the best ! 🇷🇺
Once you said beer bottle opener I was sold
Really
I have these and using a sharpening stone, I beveled the first 1.5 inches of the edges. It takes about 15 minutes per knife. Not a cutting edge, just removed the flat spot and make the edges come to a point, similar to the edge on the Cold Steel Pro Flight knives and it makes a huge difference in how well it sticks.
I wish you could make more videos
How does jxe jxo stands against hitdudu knives. ?
Very intresting. The bullseye are made out 3cr13mov. The kysliar 420hc just like the jxe jxo.
How do they stand against the acejet linéaire ? Excalibur, finn and stinger
Check out your beady little eyes 😂
What?
Dont worry. Very good video
Is not it too heavy ?
Its not too heavy.
Thanks. You only have 12 throwing knives ? 😊 i watched all your videos. At least 48... how do you store the others ? In roll bags too ? Happy New year by the way
@jcdupuy4809 I am embarrassed to say I have well over a hundred throwing knives. I have lost count. I only use the roll if I plan on taking a few knives out to throw. I keep all my knives in a rolling toolbox with lots of drawers. I keep that in a closet. One day I will make a video of my knife collection and how I store them.
@@jcdupuy4809 thanks for watching my videos.
AD10 would not be legal in the State of Delaware as the blade exceeds 3”. Check your states knife laws.
Have you tried the daggers ?
No, I have not tried the daggers yet. They look interesting though. Maybe one day I will get to them. I have a long list of AceJet review videos to work on. I love their knives.
Crazy that a year ago, they were under 30 dollars 😂
I just got a set of 3 for $15
They still drop under $30 from time to time. You just have to catch them on sale.
